On the hunt! Britney Spears, 40, wore a yellow gingham biкini in a new Instagram video, where she tumbled in the surf, danced to ‘Bodak Yellow,’ and channeled her inner Siberian tiger.
The claws are coming out, but not in the way you’d expect from Britney Spears. The 40-year-old diva appeared carefree and confident in an Instagram video uploaded on Wednesday,
February 2nd, when she channeled her inner vixen, rolling in the surf and channeling a tiger to the tune of Cardi B’s hit «Bodak Yellow.» The pop queen donned a tiny yellow gingham biкini to match the song’s title, which she also wore on a trip to Maui at the end of January.
Britney mixed film of herself with high-definition footage of a Siberian tiger stalking a beach in bejeweled, yet constraining chains. Metaphor, anyone?
Though fiancé Sam Asghari, 27, expressed his support with the comment «Lioness,» some fans were less delighted by Britney’s use of a caged Siberian tiger in the film.
Many fans interpreted the footage as an allegory for Britney’s newfound independence following the termination of her 13-year conservatorship, however several Instagram critics felt the parallel trivialized animal exploitation and abuse.
One fan commented: «Endangered creatures in shackles. Really great. [Britney] This is not it… While another commented, «These lions and tigers should be as free as you. «Big cats aren’t pets.»
