The Irish woman is very pleased with her new image, but people on the street are scared.

Ashling Armstrong from Northern Ireland, who developed «leopard» skin after a sore throat, stopped covering her body in an attempt to prove that everyone is beautiful in their own way.

The nurse first noticed red spots on her chest in January 2022. At first, Ashling mistook them for acne, but after a week they spread throughout the body.

22-year-old Armstrong immediately went to the doctor, who diagnosed her with guttate psoriasis. A type in which it appears as small, red, and scaly, tear-shaped patches on the skin.

At first, the nurse was very embarrassed about her illness, especially in the gym. Ashling spent months covering irritated skin spots with clothing that were often mistaken for severe burns.

But when they got to her face, Ashling realized that she could no longer hide them, and began to share her fortune on the Internet.

People stare at me every day. Honestly, I don’t care anymore, I’m no longer able to react to it. Once, when I was returning from the gym, I was only wearing a tiny tracksuit with shorts, and I caught myself thinking that it really looks like a burn, ”said the nurse.

Armstrong says speaking out loud and proud about her psoriasis is «the best thing she has ever done» as her self-confidence has «skyrocketed» since then and she has been able to help many others suffering from the same condition.

Now, after everyone has been so kind and I’m getting so much positive feedback, I just wear what I want and try to instill that in others as well,» said Armstrong.

Despite accepting his illness, Ashling, of course, wants to get rid of it. At the moment, the nurse is undergoing therapy, but doctors are not sure that it will help get rid of psoriasis for good. Daily Mail reports.
