He just played the piano! That’s who crept up on this man

«Music is the general language of mankind,» wrote Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. This is never more evident than in this film about an unnamed older man and Brendan Kavanagh, sometimes known as «Dr. K.»

He just played the piano! That's who crept up on this man

The old man is playing the piano by himself at a railroad station. People driving by notice him, but he’s talented enough at the instrument to just play it.

Brendan Kavanagh appears out of nowhere and begins to support the man. Brendan, sometimes known as «Dr. K.,» and the other man begin playing boogie-woogie piano.

Brendan sits next to the man who is already there, playing the console. Brendan eventually takes a seat to the side and adds the bassline to the songs. They played for more than 5 minutes together.

People are increasingly pausing to listen to a station’s loud, disorganised piano two-part harmony. People are recording the event on their phones, which has already been watched by a large number of people.

Without uttering a word, two strangers meet at a lonely piano and begin playing music in a way that seems like magic. Brendan asks him if he knows any explicit songs in the middle of a song, and they jam together.

Brendan is not the first person to do anything like this. He’s all over the Internet, interjecting as others play pianos in railway stations and shopping malls. He hangs around with everyone who wants to make music and have a good time.

Brendan has a Ph.D. in English, therefore his moniker, «Dr. K.,» is appropriate. He is a drop piano instructor from Ireland. He enjoys playing and teaching the «boogie-woogie» style of piano. Brendan should be making up songs and riffs with the man the entire while this video is playing because the class contains a lot of heavy ad lib.
