A miniature poodle named Portia is 16 years old. She is a fairly old woman, and with age she has lost her hearing and sight. Of course, it is difficult for her to navigate the space and understand where she is. In addition, old age made the animal weak and helpless.
Portia’s helplessness was taken advantage of by a hawk, which grabbed a poor dog walking on the porch of the house and flew with her into the air. The stewardess named Deborah was terribly scared.
She discovered the loss of the animal and, frightened, rushed to find it. Deborah understood that the blind and deaf dog was in trouble, but she didn’t know where to look for the old woman.
According to the hostess, she cried all day. For a woman, her dogs are very important, and the fate of old Portia worried the mistress very much. Deborah couldn’t let go of the thought that the poor thing was just dead…
And then, quite unexpectedly, the bell rang! Portia’s owner received a call from the hospital! The vets have reported that the dog is with them! Someone found it.
She is fine, not a single bone was broken, but there were marks from the claws of the bird on the body of the animal. Also, Portia was cold and weak. And yet, the old dog survived, and it was a great happiness!
At first, Deborah did not even believe it, then she took this news with great emotion. She imagined cold, poor Portia, who was first caught in the clutches of a bird of prey and then fell to the ground:
“How did she escape? I will never know! But one thing is clear: thank God, this dog survived! said Deborah.
Now the animal is already at home with its mistress and other dogs. Happy Deborah still can’t believe her pet is with her!
