The mսrder of six-year-old JonBenét Ramsey in 1996 shook the world.
On December 25, 1996, the young winner of various beauty contests, accompanied by her older brother and parents, went to their friends to celebrate Christmas.
After a small party at 10:00 pm, the entire Ramsey family had already returned home, and JonBenet was carefully laid to sleep in her room.
At five in the morning, Patricia, the mother of a young model, got up to pack on Lake Michigan with the whole family, but there was a note waiting for her on the first floor. It said that JonBenét had been kidnapped and that she had to pay $118,000 to get her back.
The child’s relatives immediately called the police, although the note forbade doing so, and began to wait for a call from the kidnapper, but it never came. Then the investigating authorities, together with the head of the family, John and his friends, began to inspect the house.
When Father JonBenet and his comrade went down to the basement, they were terrified. In the center of the room lay the strangled body of the baby, covered with a sheet, with her hands tied with a rope and her underwear bloody.
The investigation immediately began to develop the idea that it was the parents who were guilty of the mսrder of Ramsey Jr. Their behavior raised a lot of questions. For example, they claimed that before going to bed they undressed the child and unbraided her hair, but she was found in a dress and with ponytails.
In addition, some windows and doors in the house were open on the tragic night. It was assumed that the parents themselves did this before the arrival of the police in order to divert traces.

The most top employees were involved in the solution of the mսrder, who immediately divided into two camps: some were looking for evidence against the girl’s parents, others — against the unknown кiller.
Years passed, but there was no solution. The accusations against the parents were both removed and put forward anew. But in 2008 there was a turning point.
JonBenet’s teacher told investigators that he had кilled the girl. John Mark Carr allegedly broke into the house, abused the baby, drugged her, and then accidentally кilled her. Investigators immediately found out that all the words of the teacher were lies and no evidence was found against him.
By that time, the mother of the young model had died of ovarian cancer, but in the same 2008, thanks to modern technology, it was possible to find out that the blood on the girl’s underwear did not belong to any of her relatives.
Only after this examination, all charges were dropped from JonBenét’s parents.
The case has not yet been closed, and the father and brother of Ramsey Jr. publicly declare that most likely the girl was noticed by a pedophile at one of the beauty contests where the baby participated. As John Ramsey said in his memoirs, he still cannot forgive himself for the participation of a child in such competitions.
