Оrphan’s dream come true! He was taken into his own family
Growing up in a caring and nurturing environment is a gift that many of us take for granted.
For a long time, I had no idea that not all children were lucky enough to have parents who loved them. It is a reality that millions of children confront around the world, but one young kid named Andrew from Nashville, Tennessee, has direct knowledge of the difficulties.
According to reports, Andrew, now 12 years old, spent almost half of his childhood in foster care. His fortunes changed recently, however, when he found his forever family through adoption.
Andrew had already developed a close friendship with another boy named Joc Gill, who was a member of the foster family with whom he had been living. Their mutual love of video games and munching pop-tarts was evidence of their deep friendship.

Joc’s parents, Kevin and Dominique Gill, had always treasured Andrew’s presence in their home. Imagine Andrew’s surprise and delight when, while walking in the park with Molly Parker, a Youth Villages staff member, he learned that the Gills were legally adopting him.
«I just turned the corner and saw everyone,» Andrew explained. ‘Would you?’ they asked, and I responded, ‘Yes!'» His eyes welled up with emotions of joy at such a monumental occasion. More than 8,000 children are presently waiting for a permanent home in the Tennessee Foster System, according to data.
Because to the Gills’ compassion and charity, one less child will face the worry of not having a stable and loving family. Andrew was overjoyed as he proudly announced, «This is my brother, Joc.» «This is my brother, Andrew,» Joc added, delighted.
Stories like these fill our hearts with joy and love. I am eternally grateful to families like the Gills for giving Andrew the gift of a permanent and loving home. Their act of kindness surely improved Andrew’s life, providing him with the stability and support that every youngster deserves.
