The singer’s 12th studio album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, will be released on March 22. By creating it, she “came back to herself” after the trials she had experienced.
47-year-old Colombian singer Shakira delighted her 90.5 million Instagram followers with a batch of new photos, boasting of a slim and toned figure.
In the photos, she poses in a fringed camouflage top and matching swim trunks on the beach, with the ocean behind her. There are also photographs of her in the water, slightly stained with sand. The singer wore her honey-blonde hair down in soft waves.
The actress was photographed by the famous frame master Nicolas Gerardin.
“This song Nassau is my take on Afrobeat and is from my new album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran, coming out March 22nd,” the caption reads.
Previously, the singer admitted that her new record is a path to restoring herself after the trials she has experienced. She had a hard time with the betrayal of her beloved man, football player Gerard Pique, problems with the Spanish tax service and much more.
During her creative career, Shakira has released 11 studio albums, and announced the release of the 12th in mid-February of this year.
“Creating this work was an alchemical process. By composing each song, I restored myself. While singing them, my tears turned into diamonds, and my vulnerability into strength,” she emphasized.
The new record will include eight new tracks, as well as previously released hit singles.
In a first for the Grammy Award-winning star, the new album marks her debut vinyl release, featuring four different cover editions, each accompanied by an exclusive color vinyl variant.
The artist released her last album in 2017.
