A father who couldn’t afford to buy his son a new school bag instead weaves a backpack out of raffia string for him.
All of us want the best for our kids. Rich or poor, parents try their best to send their kids to school so they can get a solid education despite the differences in our society. Some parents who are unable to buy school supplies come up with inventive ways for the kids to manage their daily schoolwork. They invest their time in meeting their children’s needs, which are gems more priceless than anything money can buy.

Sophous Suon, an elementary school teacher at Lumphat Primary School in the Cambodian province of Battambang, took to social media in June 2019 and recounted the tale of one of her first-graders. Ny Keng is the name of the five-year-old boy.
Keng’s father puts a lot of effort into supporting the child’s education, but his earnings are still modest. He has enough money saved up to pay for the boy’s tuition, though.

Keng’s father was dismayed to learn that he could not afford for his son to enjoy such luxury after observing the other pupils carrying lovely school supplies and donning pricey shoes and uniforms.
Keng would only borrow a few materials from the teacher, despite the fact that the school provided the uniforms. Since his father was unable to purchase a new bag, Keng had to carry all of his school supplies. Up until the day he shocked Keng. Keng was asleep the entire time the father was awake. He made a boy’s bag out of raffia string bundles.

Keng’s father used bundles of raffia string to weave the school bag from the ground up. He clearly spent a lot of time designing the ideal bag because of how solid and well-kept it looks. It had no embellishments and was understated yet attractive. Compared to the bags in the market, it was more attractive.

The bag’s corners were meticulously crafted and flawless. It might be difficult to picture a fatigued father who gets home from work to weave his son the ideal bag.
Sophous Suon, Keng’s teacher, posted pictures of the bag on her social media website after being astonished by the father’s craftsmanship. Its straightforwardness revealed the father’s love as he wove the bag.

Astonished internet users commented on Sophous Suon’s post. Following are a few of the remarks:
You can tell how much time and love his dad put into it by how beautifully finished and perfect it is.
«It’s invaluable! It is unlike anything that money can buy!
Wonderful father!

On social media, Keng and his classmates were seen in class pictures, Keng toting a rucksack. No amount of money could afford the labor Keng’s father put into weaving the bag, despite the fact that it does not appear expensive, has no brand, and has no distinctive motifs or decorations.
Even though Keng doesn’t have fancy shoes or fancy school supplies, his father has showed him the most uncommon and unselfish love via his work. a devoted father of a priceless son!
