A firefighter arrives to help a labouring woman, unaware that he has just given birth to his future daughter
Marc and Beth were blessed with two children, Will and Parker Hadden. Despite their strong desire to expand their family, doctors advised the South Carolina couple that they would be unable to conceive another child.
The couple recognised that adoption was the best option, but they «put it in God’s hands» for the time being.
Years went by with no child being adopted. «If it’s meant to be, it will be,» we said emphatically. Beth recalled.
In addition to being a husband and father, he works for the city of Myrtle Beach as a firefighter and part-time police officer.
One evening, he and his team responded to what they thought was a fairly routine emergency call: a woman was in labour, but there wasn’t enough time to transfer her to the hospital.
He eventually gave birth to the woman.
He contacted Beth to convey the fantastic news, his delight and enthusiasm overflowing.
He was overjoyed to receive the child. He later discovered that the infant girl, Grace, had been immediately placed for adoption.
Joe and Beth realised this was the most bizarre and heartfelt sequence of circumstances they could have imagined.
