A man saved coins in a box for 45 years and then chose to see how much money he had saved
Ota Anders began collecting 1 cent coins in the early 1970s, which was an unusual interest for him. The man did not skip a day for 45 years and stored all the coins in large boxes.
Finally, Ota was curious about how much money he was able to save. The man went to the bank and requested that all of the money he had gathered be counted.
Andres abandoned change after purchasing, occasionally seeking for misplaced coins on the pavement and other such locations. The man described his hobby as a form of gratitude for all the positive things in his life.
Anders refused to spend his money. He simply placed them in the first box, then the second and third. The man had to have taken over a whole basement beneath the warehouse. Eventually, Anders wanted to check out how much money he had managed to save.
The man leased a car and drove to the bank with all of the cans. The cashiers were taken aback, but they activated the counting machine and poured coins into it. It was discovered that Anders had accumulated over 500 thousand pieces totaling 1270 kilogrammes.
The sum was not large — merely $5,136. Anders is also pleased; the man intends to spend his earnings on a well-deserved vacation:
