Ed Kelce is looking forward to seeing his son Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift progress.
Ahead of Travis’ Super Bowl matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, Feb. 9, Ed spoke with Australia’s Today show on Thursday, Feb. 6, and opened up about his thoughts on the A-list pairing.
“I think we get past the Super Bowl, I think it’s going to be a very good time for the two of them without the NFL season, without the Eras tour, just them alone really connecting more,” Ed said of Taylor and Travis.
“I think that can only be a good thing.”Calling the “Fortnight” singer a “joy to be around,” the dad of Travis and Jason Kelce noted that the pop star has been entrenched in football over the past year.
“She’s learning much more about football,” he said. “She’s watching football with her dad a lot. She’s watching football whenever she can.”
As for whether or not she’ll take the stage with Kendrick Lamar during the halftime performance, Ed insisted he didn’t have the first clue.
“I have no idea. I haven’t talked to Taylor this week,” he said. “I have no idea what her plans are. I would let her publicist talk to you about that.”
