According to the terms of their divorce settlement, Jennifer Lopez will keep Ben Affleck’s 8.5-carat green diamond engagement ring
On Monday, January 6, the ex-couple formalized their divorce.

As part of the terms of her divorce from Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez will retain her diamond engagement ring.
After they rekindled their romance in 2021, 52-year-old Affleck proposed to 53-year-old Lopez with an engagement ring set with 8.5 carats of green diamonds. They celebrated their marriage in a ceremony in Georgia the following month in front of friends and family after getting married in a small ceremony in Las Vegas in July 2022.

Lopez filed for a dissolution of marriage in August 2024. According to court documents acquired by PEOPLE, they formalized their divorce on Monday, January 6, nearly five months later.
All of Lopez’s «clothing, jewelry, and miscellaneous personal effects in her possession, custody, or control» are «disclaimed and waived by Affleck in the divorce papers, along with all right, title, and interest in and to the following assets hereby confirmed and transferred.»

The big green diamond ring, which is thought to be valued more than $5 million, will remain with Lopez. Set on a platinum band, the 8.5-carat, radiant-cut green diamond is surrounded by two half-moon accent diamonds. The band has an engraved phrase from Affleck that said,
«not.going.anywhere.»In her newsletter at the time of the engagement, Lopez mentioned how important the green hue of the diamond was to her. «Green has always been and will undoubtedly remain my lucky color.»
