Oreo, Casey Colvin’s dog, vanished soon after the Pacific Palisades fire started on Tuesday, January 7.

A man who lost his house in the fires in Los Angeles is rejoicing over his pet’s miraculous rescue.
Five nights prior to Sunday, January 12, Casey Colvin had lost his dog, Oreo, during the evacuation of the Pacific Palisades.
Colvin, who lost his house in the fire, saw Oreo lying on the debris of his neighbor’s property using a dog tracker, according to NBC News.

Oreo was standing with a toy and his other dog when the dog owner urged him to approach the neighbor’s gate in a video posted on X by NBC reporter Liz Kreutz.
Before he could pick up his four-legged pal, Colvin felt tearful as Oreo ran towards him.
Colvin exclaimed, «You’re alive, you’re alive,» before sprinting across the street and yelling with joy.

As he returned to the gates, he said, «Thank you, Jesus, thank you, God.»
After the reunion, Colvin turned to embrace reporter Liz Kreutz.According to the outlet, after Oreo escaped during the L.A. flames, folks started searching for him on Tuesday, January 7.
Colvin hurried from work and spent five hours stuck in traffic attempting to rescue his pets from his house after an evacuation alert was issued.
