The rapper did not utter the words «f—k you, Debbie» from his 2002 hit song «Without Me» during the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix on December 7, despite the fact that he has not publicly discussed his mother’s de ath.
According to the New York Post, Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, decided to let the audience yell out the lyrics while he was performing onstage.
Additionally, several fans pointed out that the lyric alteration had been in place for decades, while others think the absence was the 52-year-old’s subtle way of honoring Debbie, with whom he had a complex mother-son relationship.
Three months after the song’s debut, Eminem did not really utter the lyric during his performance at the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards.
