Jenna Dewan and Channing Tatum ended six years of negotiations when they reached a settlement to finalize their divorce on Sept. 25.

Jenna Dewan is looking ahead now that her her divorce from Channing Tatum has been finalized.
«Jenna is pleased and relieved that the divorce is final,» a source tells PEOPLE one day after Dewan, 43, and Tatum, 44, reached a settlement to finalize their divorce six years after their breakup. «It was a drawn out and sometimes frustrating situation.»

«She will continue to co-parent with Channing, but she’s ready to move on from everything else,» the source adds of Dewan, who shares daughter, Everly, 10, with Tatum. «She just wants to focus on her daughter and her boys.»
On Thursday, Sept. 26, Dewan was seen walking in Los Angeles, carrying a large black bag over her shoulder while wearing a white t-shirt, light blue jeans and black sneakers. Photographs of the dancer and actress mark the first time she has been seen since she finalized her divorce.

The Daily Mail was first to report news of the divorce settlement. Dewan and Tatum waived spousal support in order to avoid a trial that was set for December.
Tatum and Dewan, who originally met on the set of Step Up in 2006, originally separated in 2018 after nearly nine years of marriage. Dewan filed for divorce from the 21 Jump Street actor in October 2018.
