Following Blake Lively’s recent sexual harassment complaint against Justin Baldoni, Kate Beckinsale is speaking out about her own horrific on-set experiences.
Although she has never met It Ends with Us co-stars Lively and Baldoni, the actress revealed in a candid video shared to her Instagram grid on December 29 that their predicament has «highlighted… this machine that goes into effect when a woman complains about something legitimately offensive, upsetting, harmful, whatever, in this industry»
Beckinsale, 51, gave the example of how she was once «compelled to do a photo shoot the day after by a publicist that I was hiring.»
«I can’t,» I said. I’m gushing blood. I’m not interested in going to change in front of strangers and doing a picture session. «I’m bleeding out a miscarriage,» the actress from Underworld declared. «She was like, ‘You’ll have to, or you’ll be sued.'»
Additionally, Beckinsale disclosed that she was on the set of a movie «where I was called ‘that c—,’ both over the walkie-talkie and in person, by the end of it, because I said, ‘I’m finding it very difficult — my costar is drunk every day and he’s obviously going through something and I have full sympathy for that, but I’m also waiting, as is the whole crew, six hours a day, for him to learn.»
