As she recovers from cancer, Kate Middleton joins Prince William to greet the Amir of Qatar
The Amir of Qatar is spending the next two days in the United Kingdom, and the Prince and Princess of Wales were the first to greet him.
As she recuperates from her cancer treatment, Kate Middleton is making a rare public appearance by assisting Prince William in welcoming notable guests to the United Kingdom.
As the first royals to meet the Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani, early on Tuesday, December 3, the 42-year-old Prince and Princess of Wales began a day of royal pageantry.
After that, they went with the newlyweds to the formal reception at Horse Guards Parade.
Queen Camilla, who has been dealing with the aftereffects of a chest ailment, was absent from that first event of the visit. Because of this, she was being spared being out in the cold on doctors’ advice.
