Any day of the week, we’ll take her rose! Charity Lawson, the Bachelorette, made headlines with her biкini images even before she appeared on Bachelor Zach Shallcross’ season.
Charity first appeared on Bachelor Nation during season 27, when she instantly became a fan favourite due to her charming disposition and no-nonsense demeanour.
Although she was ousted by Zach following hometowns, her quest for love did not end there, as she was named the Bachelorette for 2023.
«WOW. «I am overwhelmed by all of your love and support over the last few hours!!» Charity posted on Instagram on March 16th, shortly after being introduced as the new leading woman for Women Tell All.
While she was «still processing» her selection for the coveted post, she expressed her «gratefulness» for the chance, which she «will not take lightly.»
«As much as this is my journey, I am acknowledging that it is far bigger than myself,» the family therapist remarked. «I can’t wait to keep sharing my story with you all!»
The Georgia native discussed the social effect of her journey to find love as the fourth Black Bachelorette once more.
«When I was told I was going to be the next Bachelorette, that was one of the first things I immediately thought of,» she told Entertainment Tonight on March 22.
«It’s a huge honour to be the fourth woman of colour and the second monoracial African American Bachelorette.»»I recognise that, while it is my journey,
it is so much bigger than me, because I’m carrying a whole community of people who are looking up [to me] and [I’m] representing that as well,» she explained. [I’m] not going to take it for granted. I’m quite excited, and I consider myself very privileged to be the fourth.»
Despite the fact that Zach ended his relationship with Charity, there doesn’t appear to be any ill will between the two. On March 14, after fans witnessed their tragic on-screen parting, she congratulated the California native via Instagram.
