Jennifer Aniston skyrocketed to fame after starring as Rachel Green on Friends. She is still very busy with her acting career, having landed roles in films such as We’re the Millers and being cast in a lead role on The Morning Show.
However, the Just Go With It star occasionally takes a moment to soak up the sun by hitting the beach or taking a vacay, wearing a stunning bikiոi or swimsսit for each outing.
The Los Angeles native shared a unique black-and-white bathing suit photo on Instagram in December 2020. In the image, Jennifer kissed her mirror reflection while leaning on a counter.
Jennifer captioned the photo, «What a year,» at the time. «Reminder to show yourself some love… and hang in there.»
Previously, in a November 2016 op-ed published by The Huffington Post, the Break-Up star discussed the pressures on women’s body image and beauty standards in today’s society.
The actress was «fed up» with «sport-like scrutiny and body-shaming» at the time because she appeared to have a baby bump.
«If I’m a symbol to some people out there, then clearly I’m an example of the lens through which we, as a society, view our mothers, daughters, sisters, wives, female friends, and colleagues,» Jennifer wrote at the time. «We subject women to absurd and disturbing objectification and scrutiny.»
She went on to say that «cultural standards simply require a different perspective in order for us to see them for what they truly are — a collective acceptance… a subconscious agreement.»
«We control our agreement,» the Apple TV+ actress added. «Little girls everywhere are absorbing our agreement, whether passive or not. And it starts early.
We’re all willingly buying into the message that girls aren’t pretty unless they’re incredibly thin, that they’re not worthy of our attention unless they look like a supermodel or an actress on the cover of a magazine. This conditioning is something that girls carry with them into womanhood.»
Jennifer addressed the damaging body image standards that women continue to face, as well as the expectation to bear children and have a «mate.»
«With or without a mate, with or without a child,» she continued. «When it comes to our bodies, we get to decide what is beautiful for ourselves. That decision is entirely ours.
Let us make that decision for ourselves and the young women around the world who look to us as role models… To be complete, we don’t need to be married or mothers. We get to choose our own ‘happily ever after.'»
Despite the public backlash, the Office Space actress remained upbeat. She occasionally shares stylish moments with her Instagram followers.
In a December 2021 carousel post, Jennifer uploaded a few photo shoot images, including one of her donning a fashionable white bikiոi top, sun hat and matching pants.
