She wants to alter her name, but Jenny from the street will always be her. On August 20, Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from her husband Ben Affleck. The documents included a particular request.
According to documents obtained by E! News, J.Lo—or, as she is currently legally called, Jennifer Lynn Affleck—officially requested that her name be changed back to Jennifer Lynn Lopez.
The Maid in Manhattan actress requested that the state refuse to allow her or Ben to receive spousal support in addition to changing their names.
An NBC News source close to Jennifer claims that the marriage lacked a prenuptial agreement, therefore any money earned.

Representatives for Lopez and Affleck have been contacted by E! News, but they have not responded regarding the divorce filing. Ben and Jennifer got together in the early 2000s and worked together on the films Jersey Girl (2004) and Gigli (2003).
