On Monday, Britney turned to Instagram Stories to explain how and why she resonates with a favourite viral video.
Britney Spears, 41, stated in a new Instagram story that a video of a young child breaking an egg over someone’s head reminded her of her own circumstances.
She poured her heart out with heartfelt, but enigmatic, comments after re-sharing the viral video, which she’d shared multiple times before. «I’m not upset about this video…
«It’s actually really cute, but without sound, it has a different effect!!!» she wrote in a text message on Monday, Sept. 18. «It feels darker to me… Similar things have happened to me, therefore I see this through a different lens!!!»
Britney went on to say that she greatly identifies with the video, which depicts a lovely toddler becoming enraged after having an egg cracked on her head. «That wasn’t very nice,» the toddler grumbles.
«Would you like me to do it to you?» She then cracks an egg on one of the two adults in the video, who both laugh uncontrollably.
Britney continued in her text message. «Most of my inner conflict with people stems from knowing the enemy is right in front of me, but I kept them because I loved them!!!» she went on. «I’m really sensitive to anyone laughing at or harassing someone!!!
There’s so much I’ve kept private about myself, and maybe one day I’ll be able to tell people… Until then, every story has three sides!!! Your point of view, my point of view, and the truth!!!»
Britney then dared people to watch the viral video without the sound and decipher new meaning from it. «The infant within represents trust, while the female in the middle represents the truth… Now view it without sound!!!»
Britney extended her thoughts in the caption. «… REPOST… «IF SHE’D JUST SLAPPED THE S*** OUT OF THEM,» the «Toxic» singer wrote, alongside laughing and angry face emojis.
«REMAIN CLASSY FOLKS!!!!» Nobody laughs when she does it back to them… They’re laughing here, but what if I’m not?
