Cardi B discloses that in January, she had yet another round of butt injections removed

Cardi B is updating her fans on the removal of her butt injections.
The 31-year-old rapper, who gave birth to a daughter earlier in September, revealed in a recent Instagram Live that she had more butt injections removed earlier this year.
Immediately following my performance in ‘Like What,’ I had surgery in January. I had additional butt injections taken out. Because, you know, getting your butt injections taken out requires rounds. I had several injections in my butts taken out. Additionally, I went to repair some problems related to my fibrosis,» Cardi stated.
In a December 2022 Instagram Live, the Grammy winner earlier disclosed that she had «95%» of her biopolymers extracted from her buttocks in August of that year. Cardi previously told GQ that she purchased silicone shots called biopolymers for $800 in a basement in 2014.
In a safety communication published in 2017, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration cautioned consumers that «injectable silicone used for body contouring is not FDA-approved and can cause serious side effects that may be permanent or may even lead to death.»
Ongoing pain and severe injuries like scarring, tissue death, and permanent disfigurement are possible side effects. If the silicone spreads outside the injection site, it may result in an embolism (a blood vessel blockage), stroke, infections, and even death.
