Dad of Britney Spears Amputation of Jamie’s leg occurs while his daughter warms to reconciliation
According to reports, toxic pop star Britney Spears is trying to patch things up with her father Jamie Spears, who had five botched surgery and a serious infection.
Jamie Spears, the father of Britney Spears, had his leg amputated following five unsuccessful surgeries.
According to TMZ, the Toxic hitmaker is now reportedly warming up to her father again. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to treat an infection in one of Jamie’s legs, medical professionals concluded that surgical amputation was the only course of action.
Jamie apparently had knee replacement surgery 16 years prior, which resulted in the illness. Furthermore, despite struggling with poor health, the 71-year-old has shed over 25 pounds. He was «hospitalized for weeks in a special infectious disease facility,» a source informed Page Six.
Now, sources have told the newspaper that Britney «softened» and «misses» her father; TMZ even says she «talked about sending him money to help him out.» It appears that Jamie «harbours no ill will» towards his daughter.
Jamie stated he didn’t regret putting Britney under conservatorship in an interview with The Sun last year. «My God, where would she be now if it weren’t for that conservatorship?» he exclaimed.
I will not paint you any beautiful pictures. She went through a really difficult period during that conservatorship, and I’m not sure if she would still be living now.
I have an unwavering love and devotion for my daughter. Our current relationship is just awful.
Jamie had struggled with health issues before this most recent infection. He «almost died» in 2018 from a burst colon, and Britney had to take a break from touring to care for him. «I am dedicating my focus and energy to care for my family,»
the singer said in a statement. I want to spend this time with my family since we have a really special bond and because they have always supported me.
The two have long since had a turbulent relationship; Britney claims she was prevented from getting pregnant, made to stay in mental health facilities, and was not permitted to display her naked legs while she lived in Las Vegas.
