During a live-streamed ceremony, Denzel Washington is baptized and becomes a minister! I’m here, even though it took a while
Only a few weeks after declaring that religion is «not fashionable» in Hollywood, the Oscar-winning actor posed for pictures with his baptism certificate.

Denzel Washington recently became a minister and was baptized, and no, it wasn’t to get ready for a movie role.
The 69-year-old Gladiator II star was baptized on Saturday, December 21, at the Kelly Temple Church of God in Christ, which is situated in New York City’s Harlem district. Additionally, a minister license was given to him, enabling him to be ordained in the future.

Denzel, wearing a gray T-shirt and black sweatpants, spoke candidly to the audience during the ceremony, which was broadcast live on Facebook by the First Jurisdiction Church of God in Christ Eastern New York.
Archbishop Christopher Bryant added, «I turn 70 in one week,» according to Page Six. «I’m here, but it took a while.»
«There is nothing that [God] cannot accomplish for you if He can do this for me. The limit is absolutely the sky,» he continued.

Pauletta Washington, Denzel’s wife, was also present for the momentous occasion and spoke movingly about her husband’s spiritual development and how pleased she was to see him advance in his religion.
Pauletta remarked, «I’m still standing beside him forty-six years later, as only God will allow.» Thus, you have my utmost admiration. As the leader of our household, you have set a wonderful example for our now-adult children.
