After four years of marriage, Barrymore, 49, talked candidly about navigating her spit from Kopelman in 2016 in a cover story for AARP The Magazine’s February/March 2025 issue.
The TV personality claimed that in order to be a better mother to their two kids, Frankie, 10, and Olive, 12, she understood she had to get through the divorce.
Barrymore stated, «I didn’t know how to put one foot in front of the other because my dream family was falling apart.»
I had grown up so quickly, yet I was unsure of my age at this point. All I knew was that my life was heavy, unpleasant, and depressing, so I languished in that state for a time.»»Eventually, thank goodness, I lifted myself out of it,» she stated. «I had two kids and I had to figure it out.»
Kopelman and Barrymore have remained close co-parents, despite Kopelman’s subsequent marriage to Alexandra Michler in August 2021.»Life continues on, as seen by our fantastic family dynamic.
