During the Interview with the Vampire Set, Kirsten Dunst recalled how Tom Cruise decorated her dressing room for Christmas
When the actress starred in the popular 1994 movie adaptation of Anne Rice’s vampire-themed gothic horror book, she was just 11 years old.

The all-star version of Anne Rice’s gothic horror novel about the renowned vampire Lestat, Interview with the Vampire, starring Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt, was a box office success when it opened in theaters on November 11, 1994.
In the ensemble, which also featured Christian Slater, Thandiwe Newton, and Antonio Banderas, 11-year-old Kirsten Dunst gave a remarkable performance as the child vampire Claudia, who is cared for by Lestat (Cruise, now 62) and Louis (Pitt, 60), who, in an interview with a reporter hundreds of years later, reflects on his time spent in New Orleans with the former.

Due to the role’s popularity with both fans and critics, Dunst was nominated for a Golden Globe Award in 1995 for best supporting actress, a category that was completed by Dianne Wiest, Robin Wright, Sophia Loren, and Uma Thurman, among other outstanding performers.

The 42-year-old Dunst has talked candidly about the film’s production in the 30 years since its premiere, recalling the supportive relationship she forged with her older male co-stars and having to give Pitt a «gross» on-screen kiss.
Dunst, who was then a rising child star, had minor parts in Brian De Palma’s The Bonfire of the Vanities (1990) and Woody Allen’s New York Stories (1989) after Interview with the Vampire.
