Elon Musk shows off his mounjaro-fueled slimdown—in a Santa suit
Musk said he tried Ozempic as well but it «made me fart & burp like Barney from the Simpsons».
Elon Musk is slimming down for the holidays.
The Tesla CEO, 53, showed off his new, more slender figure on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Christmas, revealing his weight loss secret: GLP-1 medications.
Musk posted a photo in a Santa suit to show his body transformation. He is posing with his hands on his hips wearing the suit and a white Santa beard. While Santa is known for his big round belly,
it was nowhere to be seen on the tech CEO, who stood proudly in front of a decorated Christmas tree with presents underneath.“ Ozempic Santa,” he captioned the photo.
In a follow-up post on X, he joked, “Like Cocaine Bear, but Santa and Ozempic!,” before admitting in another post that it was “technically Mounjaro” that he was using. He added that it “doesn’t have the same ring to it.”
This prompted several people to ask whether Mounjaro (tirzepatide) — a medication for type 2 diabetes and weight loss taken weekly by injection in the thigh, stomach or arm
— was better than Ozempic, which works in a similar way. In response, Musk noted that he tried both and found that Mounjaro was the better option for him.
