And she broke the news in the kindest way: in her father’s new music video for his song «Temporary,» which is dedicated to Hailie. The film includes home recordings of Hailie, now 28, from childhood to adulthood, including images of her father and daughter dancing at her wedding earlier this year.
And then, near the end of the music video, there’s a newer clip in which Hailie gifts her father with a #1 «Grandpa» jersey, leaving the rapper speechless as he holds a photo of an ultrasound towards the camera while his daughter laughs and grins.
The film also ends with a close-up of a card Hailie wrote to her father years ago. «Thank you for doing everything you do & always being there for us girls,»
writes the author. «You really are the best father in the world. I love you forever, plus 100 million bucks, forever and always.»
