Family interferes with your career! Emma shared the difficulties in her life
Emma Roberts has stated that her career has been hampered rather than aided by having prominent family members.
Emma, 33, may be perceived by some as a «nepo-baby,» a word that refers to the children of celebrities, who by definition have an advantage in an industry that is notoriously competitive.
Her father, actor Eric Roberts, is well-known for his roles in films like Lumina and Crimes of the Past, as well as television series like Grey’s Anatomy and Suits.
Emma’s father divorced Kelly Cunningham, her mother, and then married actress Eliza Roberts, an acting coach and casting director who is currently Emma’s stepmother.
Emma’s mother later married a musician, but Eliza’s parents were the late screenwriters David Rayfiel and Lila Garrett.
Her aunt Julia Roberts, who starred in several successful blockbuster films, notably Pretty Woman, and her other aunt Lisa Roberts Gillan are likely the most well-known family members.
At the infant age of nine, Emma had her screen debut in Ted Demme’s 2001 picture Blow. Since then, she has gone on to play leading roles in TV series like Scream Queens and American Horror Story, as well as in other movies like Nerve and Scream 4.
