Following a brief hospital stay for a minor swimming incident in Spain, Zac Efron is fine
After being sent to the hospital for precautionary measures while on vacation in Spain, Zac Efron, star of «Family Affair,» was discharged the following morning.
The 36-year-old Family Affair star had a «minor swimming incident» on Friday, August 2, while he was visiting a villa in Ibiza, a spokesman for the celebrity reveals to PEOPLE.
After being admitted to the hospital for precautions, Efron was allowed to leave the following morning. The spokesperson says, «He is fine.» The former member of High School Musical was seen earlier this week joining DJ Martin Garrix on stage during the latter’s engagement at the Spanish city’s Ushuaïa Ibiza Hotel and Beach Club.
Fans of the «Animals» singer posted a video of Efron walking onstage and dancing with Garrix during one of his songs on TikTok, to much applause from the audience.
With roles in Ricky Stanicky, The Iron Claw, and most recently, his romantic comedy A Family Affair starring Nicole Kidman and Joey King, the actor has had a busy year so far.
