Gabrielle Union understands how to start a hot female summer on the right foot.
The 50-year-old actress made quite a sensation in a new seashore magazine photoshoot, showing off her beach body with a gorgeous high-fashion twist.
Union recently posed for Who What Wear as the publication’s cover star for July 2023, as revealed in sneak peek photographs on her Instagram page, and the results are enough to make anyone’s mouth drop.
The Bring It On alum looked like a real-life sea goddess in a simple brown bandeau bathing suit from SKIMS underneath nothing but a tight fishnet garment that fell all the way down her legs, styled by Thomas Christos.
The netting even enveloped a clump of massive rocks behind her, exuding mermaid-like energy.
The stunning look was enhanced with a burlap-like fabric formed into a ruffled circle that wonderfully framed her face. «Casting out my net and reeling in opportunities,» she captioned her Wednesday, June 28 Instagram image.
To no one’s surprise, Union received a flood of compliments in the comments area, including one from her 16-year-old stepdaughter Zaya, who wrote «Slayy» beneath the post.
«Mermaid vibes,» another fan said, while another simply termed Union’s photographs «Divine.»
Union’s extraordinary ability to bring fashion everywhere she travels is highlighted in the new magazine issue, as is her determination to making room for herself, especially when life throws curveballs.
«It used to scare the shit out of me … the thought of disappointing or inconveniencing people,» she was quoted as saying by the newspaper.
«However, I’ve discovered that I can be okay with not being okay.» There are days when I can’t be a strength to myself, let alone anyone else, and that’s good.»
