In a recent interview with E! News, the 44-year-old Home Alone alumnus disclosed that he and his fiancée «go all out at Christmas in our house» for their two sons, Dakota, who is three years old, and an unnamed 2-year-old.
«Because right now, they’re at the magic age where they believe, and we want to nurture that belief,» Culkin explained, adding that he even has a plan to explain his location while screening Home Alone nationwide this month.
«I told them that I’m at Santa’s workshop fixing toys, because that’s what I do for them at home,» he explained. Santa Claus called me up to the North Pole because I’m so good. That is completely acceptable to them.
Stocking duty is one of Culkin’s responsibilities during the holidays. He calls himself the «master» since he consistently performs at the highest level each year.
Although his youngest son wants a vehicle of his own, Dakota «wants a Spider-Man truck, he wants a truck from New York City and he wants more presents,» suggesting that his children’s choices in gifts seem to overlap.
