How does the Mowgli woman live, who has not left the house for 26 years
It all started with the fact that in the village of the Nizhny Novgorod region, a local resident Tatiana was hospitalized. The neighbors were sure that the woman, who, by the way, was distinguished by some oddities, lives alone.
Imagine their surprise when a few days later they saw Tatyana’s daughter at the site, who, even in a village where everyone knows each other, had long been considered either dead or gone somewhere far away.
As it turned out, 42-year-old Nadya lived all this time with her mother, without leaving home. True, it is difficult to call this hut a home: it is difficult to even imagine such unsanitary conditions.
There has been no electricity, water or gas for a long time. The house of Nadezhda, who was immediately nicknamed the Mowgli woman, had not even seen ordinary cleaning for many years.
Nadia washed for the last time, according to her, in 2006. She combed, it seems, at the same time: her hair fell into a tangle, similar to a beaver’s tail.
The reason for Nadezhda’s seclusion at first glance may seem ridiculous: her neighbor pursued the then young girl and harassed her.
As a result, both Nadia and her mother became recluses — the woman simply closed her daughter at home to protect her from annoying attention.
Journalists also found a neighbor who, as expected, denied such accusations. Be that as it may, the behavior of the mother and daughter can hardly be called adequate, even if there really was persecution.
“Injury can unfold in different ways. These women could develop a hermit complex — “there is nothing good in this world, you can’t rely on anyone.”
But with any hermit complex, the way they live is abnormal, ”assures the guest of Andrei Malakhov’s program, psychologist Annette Orlova.
Neighbors indirectly confirm this. Say, Tatyana, mother of Nadezhda, was always unsociable, refused any help. I even threw away the clothes that the neighbors brought under the door.
She kept her daughter in strictness from childhood, she didn’t let her dance or go for a walk. As a result, Nadia did not go out for a walk almost from the end of school.
“I don’t know where I should go. I have not been anywhere. When I was in school, I went somewhere else, but now I don’t. I do not know anything. I eat cat food.
I like it — it’s delicious. Well, any other rotten stuff that I find. I used to love pears, plums, pies, ”she told reporters.
Nadezhda’s alleged father also came to Andrei Malakhov’s studio. True, he himself is not sure of this: every now and then he gets confused in words. Either he calls the Mowgli woman a daughter, then he says that it still needs to be proven.
“I haven’t seen her for 10 years. She was good, but now I don’t even recognize her, ”he was amazed.
Nadezhda asks for help in finding a job for her and settling her paperwork. The 42-year-old woman does not even have a passport — only a birth certificate.
Now it is taken up by social workers and doctors. First of all, you need to make sure that the heroine of the shocking story is healthy, and at least socialize her a little. In addition, she is helped to tidy up the house and the long-abandoned site.
Nadezhda’s mother is still in the hospital, and it is not known whether she knows what changes are taking place now in her daughter’s life. But Nadia is really looking forward to her return: all these years, her mother was the only person she saw nearby.
