The British actress narrowly avoided an embarrassing situation on the red carpet at Cannes. Kate Beckinsale reveals she was rescued by co-star Keanu Reeves.
A funny incident happened in 1993 when Kate, Keanu and actor Robert Sean Leonard presented Much Ado About Nothing at a film festival. At that moment, the artist was only 19 years old, and she did not think to seek help from stylists.
Beckinsale adorned her hair with a flower from a vase that was brought to her hotel room along with breakfast. The star of the film «Underworld 4: Awakening» also combined a colorful brown dress and rough boots.
The resulting image looked harmonious and, nevertheless, Kate could not avoid a miss. The actress summed up the choice of underwear.
“I bought the bodysuit from the sock shop at the airport.
When I got into the car to go to the premiere with Denzel and Pauletta Washington, all the buttons on the crotch unbuttoned, and it went up like a curtain on rollers, ”Beckinsale opened up.
The actress failed to fix the problem in the car. “It seemed inappropriate for me to dig under the skirt with everyone in the back seat. So I just calmly panicked, ”said Kate.
Beckinsale arrived at the scene and immediately went to the Croisette. The former lover of actor Michael Sheen reported the embarrassment to the partners in the film.
Keanu and Robert helped the actress pass in front of the camera flashes. Kate released a frame from a personal archive taken at a film festival.
