Dax Shepard, Kristen Bell’s spouse, is always there to support her during difficult times.
Shepard, 49, was talking about the «coping mechanisms» he employs when he gets «depressed» on the November 25 episode of his Armchair Expert podcast when he disclosed how he assists Bell, 44, in overcoming her own mental health issues.
He said, «Kristen has depression, so hers won’t necessarily be incident driven,» in an interview with Anna Kendrick, their guest. She doesn’t seem to have a particular thing. She will simply experience a wave of it. She will sleep a lot, and I don’t think I should or can do anything about it.
Shepard claims that Bell will be in a «slump» when the Good Place actress goes through mental health lows.
«After a period of heavy sleep, she will eventually emerge from it. That used to frighten me, now,» he acknowledged. «And I was like, ‘Is this gonna be forever?'»
After having «gone through the cycle enough,» he’s aware that «she’s gonna organize for a couple days really, really, intensely, and then she’s gonna sleep a lot for a few days, and then it’s gonna be over.»
