Brooke Shields is celebrating the 17th birthday of her youngest daughter Grier Henchy.
The 57-year-old actress and model took to Instagram on April 18 to wish her daughter a happy 17th birthday, saying, «Happy 17th Birthday Grier!!!»

«I love you so much, and I’m so proud to be your mom,» she went on. «You may be maturing, but you will always be my baby.»
Shields’ tweet contained new images of herself and Grier, as well as some cute flashback photos – and even a video – of the mother-daughter combination over the years.
Shields and her longterm husband Chris Henchy, whom she married in 2001, share Grier and her eldest daughter Rowan Henchy, 19.
In a recent interview with «Good Morning America,» Shields discussed Grier’s decision to follow in her footsteps and enter the modelling world.
The mother of two claimed she had to «come around» to her daughter’s job decision, explaining, «The most interesting thing to me is that they won’t let her do anything until she’s 18, so when I heard that, that was sort of a revelation to me, and I was happy about that.»
While acknowledging that there are «many more protections for these girls» in today’s modelling industry, Shields maintains that it is a «devastating business.»
