Irina Shayk, the supermodel, will go topless and even naked for fashion, but she will not pose naked for the sake of people ogling her body.
«I’d never do Playboy.» «Yes, I am a lingerie model, but I have class,» Irina told Esquire UK in 2012, adding, «Playboy offered me a lot of money last year.» «‘No. Way.'»
The Russian-born beauty did admit that other models of her calibre had appeared for the magazine, but it wasn’t for her.
«OK, Naomi Campbell and Claudia Schiffer have done it. But they did it at the conclusion of their career in a dignified manner.
«However, I would never do a cheesy magazine,» Irina continued.
The brunette beauty has gone naked for a number of commercial campaigns, including a 2019 series of Calvin Klein handbag advertising in which the bags were deliberately placed such that they were not NFSW.
She also went naked for a Marc Jacobs 2023 accessories ad, wearing only shoes and a purse. Irina began her modelling career by modelling lingerie and swimwеar.
She first featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsսit Issue in 2007, and after four years on the cover, she got the coveted cover model place in 2011. Irina became the face of the lingerie company Intimissimi the same year she started working for Sports Illustrated.
She would later work at Victoria’s Secret.
The green-eyed beauty notably walked in the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show when six months pregnant with her daughter, Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper, with ex-boyfriend, actor Bradley Cooper.
Her baby belly was barely visible in the beautiful lingerie due to her 5-foot-10 frame, but it was enough to let the world know the then-couple were expecting a kid. On March 21, 2017, Lea was born. Irina and Bradley ended their four-year relationship in June 2019.
Irina has predominantly worked in high fashion since the mid-2010s, walking the runways for leading designers throughout New York, London, Paris, and Milan fashion weeks.
She’s also in high demand as the face of a number of products, including Alo Beauty and Wellness, and in 2022, she’ll be the first ever face of Los Angeles-based designer Anine Bing.
