Jay-Z calls the claim that he raped a 13 yearold girl with Sean Diddy Combs in 2000 heinous
After the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards, an anonymous woman changed her legal case from earlier this year to include Jay-Z as one of the celebrities who sexually assaulted her.
In a civil case that was first filed in October, Jay-Z and Sean «Diddy» Combs are accused of raping a 13-year-old girl 24 years ago.
A woman known only as Jane Doe has filed a civil case against the 55-year-old rapper, whose legal name is Shawn Carter. Doe claims that she was assaulted after being transported to an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty in 2000, according to the updated lawsuit that PEOPLE was able to access.
The news was initially reported by NBC News.
In October, the same civil complaint was first filed in New York City, with only 55-year-old Sean «Diddy» Combs named as a defendant and the names of two celebrities removed. On Sunday, December 8, a revised complaint was submitted to name Carter.
The unnamed lady claims in the lawsuit, which was first filed on October 20, that Combs and Carter sexually assaulted her during a party in a New York City home following the VMAs, while an unidentified female celebrity looked on.
«Defendant Sean Combs, along with his longtime friend and collaborator Shawn Carter (a/k/a ‘JayZ’), drugged and raped a thirteen-year-old girl at an afterparty following the 2000 Video Music Awards,» the complaint alleges. «Another celebrity stood by and watched as Combs and Carter took turns assaulting the minor.»
