Jennifer Garner flaunts her rigorous training schedule in anticipation of her Deadpool cameo
Recently, Jennifer Garner provided fans an intimate look at her rigorous training schedule for her cameo in «Deadpool & Wolverine.»
The actress posted the exercise video to Instagram on Monday, thanking writer and director Shawn Levy of «Deadpool» and actor Ryan Reynolds for their «crazy artistic kismet» of getting Jennifer Garner back in the character of Elektra,
which she last played in a Marvel movie in 2005. «Other than trying to convince my kids’ preschool buddies that I was secretly a ninja, I hadn’t picked up Elektra’s sais since 2004; I was fit, but not @marvel fit,» Garner said in the post.
She claimed that while she «amped up» her training, she got to work with her «bestie,» stuntwoman Shauna Duggin.
«We had #SuperHeroSummer over here, twirling sais in the backyard and laughing at our sore old bodies,» she said on Instagram.
Viewers saw Garner lifting weights, box jumping, working out in the water, and honing her sai in the video. Garner also commended Levy and Reynolds’ collaborations with other performers and artists.
«I didn’t know that Elektra and I needed an ending, but Shawn and Ryan did,» she stated. «They are gifted in many ways, but seeing and elevating people around them is at the top of the list.»
In addition, she acknowledged «Deadpool» actors Hugh Jackman, Dafne Keen, Channing Tatum, and Wesley Snipes while talking about how much fun she had while filming the movie.
