On Saturday, July 13, the 54-year-old Atlas actor posted a short video on Instagram Stories of herself enjoying a bright summer car trip with Ben Affleck’s 18-year-old daughter in New York.
In the video, Lopez sits in the front seat of a car with an open sunroof, wearing her wedding ring and sunglasses, as Violet and her companion, actress Cassidey Fralin, watch out the window. Lopez adorned the video with a «Summertime» sticker and paired it with The Kid LAROI’s «Girls.»
The outing comes as Lopez and Affleck, 51, have reportedly suffered marital difficulty in recent months, most notably spending Independence Day weekend apart, according to sources.
According to a source, Lopez and Violet were shopping at Roller Rabbit in East Hampton, New York, on Saturday and were «surrounded by people» when they left, but were «unfazed.»Another insider told PEOPLE that Lopez seemed to enjoy shopping with Ben’s daughter. She smiled broadly.»
Lopez shared the family bonding time on Instagram shortly after WWD reported on Friday, July 12, that she and Violet were seen shopping for dresses at
LoveShackFancy in Sag Harbor. PEOPLE requested that the retailer confirm Lopez’s Saturday shopping trip, but the store did not answer quickly.
