Johnny Depp reprises his Pirates of the Caribbean role as Captain Jack Sparrow for this reason

Johnny Depp briefly returned to the pirate life. Indeed, the actor, who played Captain Jack Sparrow in five Pirates of the Caribbean films, recently donned his costume again to visit a children’s hospital in San Sebastian, Spain.
In the photographs from September 26, the 61-year-old went along a hospital corridor dressed in character, replete with his tricorne, bandana, and infamously long beard.

Another image shows the actor standing beside a patient’s bed, interacting with them. This isn’t the first time Depp has portrayed the persona for his young followers.
In 2022, he recreated the iconic outfit for a young Pirates fan, then-11-year-old Kori—a patient in palliative care following two heart transplants—who had been operating a YouTube channel dedicated to the character and film.

«Captain Kori, I am so sorry I missed out on this,» Depp said in a video collaboration with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. «I meant to say it, forgot about it,
didn’t say it, and am going to say it now. I will say it. I’ve heard stories of something called the YouTube channel, which I don’t understand, but why not?
