Laconic and to the point! A short story about each of us

This is the story of God, a carabao, a monkey, a dog, and a human.

God told carabao when he created him, «You can live for 60 years, but you must work hard for humans your entire life.» The carabao asked God to shorten his lifespan by 30 years, so he could only live for 30 years.

The monkey was the second creation. «You can live for 30 years, but you must entertain humans for the rest of your life,» God told the monkey.

The monkey then chose to shorten his life by 15 years.

Third, God created the dog and told him, «You can live for 30 years, but you must protect human property throughout your life.» The dog made the decision to forego 15 years of his life.

Fourth, God created man and told him, «Your job is to enjoy life. Your lifespan would be 25 years if you lived this kind of life.»

But human is not happy to only live for 25 years, so he pleaded: «Please give me the lifespan that was forgone by carabao 30 years, dog 15 years and monkey 15 years. By adding them together, 25+30+15+15=85. I’d like to live for a total of 85 years.»

At the end of the day, this is human life:

In his first 25 years, he is living a happy and worry-free life, doing everything he can.

25-55 years old, living the life of a carabao, toiling and suffering at work to feed his family.

56-70 years old, living the life of a monkey, after retiring from his job, he would be like a monkey at home, entertaining and teasing his grandchildren to make them happy.

Aged 71 to 85, living the life of a dog. He is unable to work hard and finds it difficult to walk long distances; all he can do is sit at home and look after his house like a dog!

Human life is very short. We were born with our parents’ happiness and laughter, but we may one day die with sadness and tears. Isn’t our existence similar to that of animals in some ways? If you enjoyed this short story, please share it with your friends.
