Lady Gaga wins Joker: Folie à deux red carpet at Venice film festival with epic headpiece and her fiance
Gaga and her fiance Michael Polansky made their red carpet debut at the film festival.
The 38-year-old actress closed the red carpet at the 2024 Venice Film Festival on September 4 for the premiere of Joker: Folie à Deux, in which she plays Harley Quinn. Gaga looked stunning on the red carpet at the Italian event,
where she strolled alongside her co-star Joaquin Phoenix, the film’s director Todd Phillips, and her fiancé, Michael Polansky. She wore a voluminous black gown with a plunging neckline and a full skirt. Her glittering lace Philip Treacy headpiece, however, was the highlight of her costume. The lace piece concealed Gaga’s eyes and ended in two points atop her head for dramatic effect.
The singer also wore Tiffany & Co. jewelry and her go-to platform boots, which showed through from beneath her dress as she lifted her skirt on the red carpet. In the sequel to the 2019 Joker, Gaga plays Harley Quinn,
a character previously played by Margot Robbie, Mia Sara, Kaley Cuoco, and others. The «Bad Romance» singer, on the other hand, has entirely transformed the Joker: Folie à Deux Harley Quinn into her own.
«My version of Harley is mine and it’s very authentic to this movie and these characters, and I don’t want to give anything from the film away,» she told Access Hollywood on the red carpet of her Gaga Chromatica Ball screening and dance party.
