It’s unclear whether Olivia Wilde was attempting a Schitt’s Creek joke (spoilers for the finale), but the 39-year-old director/actress wore white to Colton Underwood’s wedding on May 13. Colton, 31, married Jordan C. Brown in Napa Valley’s Carneros Resort

and Spa, and Oliva stated on her Instagram Story that she wore «a wedding dress to a wedding just so I could make a joke about it in my toast.»

Olivia was wearing a backless Nili Lotan gown with spaghetti straps and a sensual dip down her backside. She let her hair fall freely while wearing stylish sunglasses to protect her eyes.

While some may object to Olivia deviating from tradition (one should never wear white to a wedding unless one is being married), both the clothing and the joke clearly went over well with the happy couple.

«The Grooms approved,» Olivia captioned a photograph of herself embracing the newlyweds.

Colton, 38, married Jordan, 38, in a beautiful outdoor ceremony in front of 200 guests. «One thing that’s really important to both of us is that we’ve created this, and we’re calling it ‘our loving walk,'» Colton told PEOPLE.

«It’s inspired by a coffee table book called Loving that I was given after I came out, and it’s images of men in love throughout history.» We blew them up, hung them on canvases, and placed them throughout the resort.

Next to them will be banned or secret love letters written by gay persons in the 18th and 19th centuries.»

«We wanted to break some of the traditional norms of what a wedding and a ceremony look like,» he continued. «And we recognise that for many of those attending,

both of our families and some of our friends, this will be their first queer wedding.» We’re determined to make it memorable.»
