Chad Zuber moved to a desert island and went into the forest four years ago. He lived like a primitive man, without tools, medicine, or grocery stores.
During this time, however, the man constructed a real house.
Chad is a well-known travel blogger who has captivated his audience with videos about life in the wilderness. He traveled across several continents before settling on his most lengthy experiment, island life.
The man chose a remote part of a small island in Puerto Rico to accomplish this. He kept an online diary, describing his day-to-day life, thanks to satellite Internet.
He had to live simply under an awning stretched over stakes for the first month.
But Chad was aware that the rainy season was approaching, so he set about constructing a more secure home.
Fortunately, because the soil on the island is clayey, the traveler had all of the raw materials needed for construction. He chose a flat area, tamped it with improvised tools, and got to work.
«In August of 2017, I completed my first clay brick. «Four months later, I had 170 bricks, and these walls were built from them,» the traveler wrote in his journal.
The man was forced to eat vegetables and eggs laid by local birds. The survivalist then made himself a bow and arrows, then a fishing rod, and food problems faded into the background.
Chad discussed the project’s conclusion in his most recent video. He took everything he wanted from the island and is now planning a new adventure.
