The «Barbie» actress and her husband Tom Ackerley are expecting their first child, multiple sources confirmed to PEOPLE. Margot Robbie and Tom Ackerley are going to be parents!

PEOPLE has been informed by many sources that the 34-year-old Barbie star and her husband, a film producer, are expecting their first child together.

Robbie has already expressed some of her views on motherhood, but the infamously quiet couple has not yet opened up about their growing family.

On the set of the World War II drama Suite Française, the couple first got together in 2013. Then, in December 2016, Robbie and Ackerley tied the knot in a secret ceremony in Australia’s Byron Bay.

Prior to their wedding, the couple kept their engagement a secret.

Robbie opened up to Radio Times in January 2019 on the pressure women feel to have children after marriage, having declared in November 2018 that she was «definitely not» ready to start a family.

Robbie also spoke with PORTER magazine in November 2018. «It truly infuriated me,» she stated to the Times. Here’s everything Robbie has said about motherhood, from wanting a large brood to raising puppies with Ackerley.

The actress from Suicide Squad initially discussed the concept of children in public back in June 2016. Robbie said, «I want tons of kids,» in an interview with Sunday Style. «Well, perhaps not too many,» she laughed to add.
