More popular than Britney Spears — Matthew Perry’s memoirs became a bestseller after his deаth
Actor Matthew Perry’s memoir has returned to first place in the US and UK book charts. Fans are revisiting the actor’s story about his life after his tragic deаth.

The «Friends» actor’s autobiography has become a best-seller again almost exactly a year after its release, overtaking Britney Spears’ long-awaited memoir in the Amazon rankings.
The Emmy-nominated actor was candid about his experiences with addiction ahead of the book’s release, but opened up fully within its 250 pages.
The book has now overtaken pop star Britney Spears’ memoir The Woman in Me, her first in-depth look at her life and career, which became an instant bestseller when it was released last week.

Perry’s memoir made headlines last year for its openness and frankness about his health struggles. He said he spent $9 million trying to overcome his addiction, admitted to attending 6,000 Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, going to rehab 15 times and detoxing 65 times.
Perry spoke about the terrible effects of drսg and alcohol addiction, which left him with a ruptured colon and a coma.

“I am constantly filled with hidden loneliness, melancholy, clinging to the idea that something outside of me will fix me,” the star said.
In 1997, while filming Fools Rush In, he had a jet ski accident, was hospitalized, and later became addicted to the opioid painkiller Vicodin. He said at one point he was taking 55 Vicodin pills a day and his weight dropped to 128 pounds.
