The NFL was rocked to its core last week when Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin died on the field after being hit in the chest during Monday Night Football. Since then, league players and staff have continued to show their support for Hamlin and have prayed for his recovery.

Since Hamlin’s injury, NFL players have continued to take a knee before games, but they are no longer protesting the National Anthem.

The Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars gathered in the centre of the field before their final regular-season game to thank God for Damar Hamlin’s remarkable recovery and continuous improvement.

Another emotional event occurred during the game between the Denver Broncos and the Los Angeles Chargers. Both Russell Wilson, the quarterback, and Derwin James, the safety, play for teams that start with the number three. They met at the 50-yard line and knelt in quiet to pray, holding hands.

Following the game, the Raiders and Chiefs players gathered in the middle of the field to kneel and pray, as did many other NFL teams. Over the weekend, all of the league’s teams did the same thing.

Damar Hamlin has also been quite open and loud about his love for God and the importance of his faith in his daily life. Since his injuries last Monday night, he has sent out numerous Tweets of gratitude.
