No one has ever seen a smile on her face. However, this is what helped her achieve her goal
Tayla Clement, 24, from New Zealand has never given the world her smile in her life.
She was eight months old when doctors diagnosed her with a rare disease, Mobius syndrome, a congenital anomaly characterized by a complete absence of facial expressions. With this disease, a person is practically devoid of facial expressions: Tayla is not even able to smile, raise her eyebrows in amazement and move her upper lip.

Naturally, such a child had to endure constant ridicule and harassment from peers. The girl was not only humiliated morally, but also physically abused. Tayla recalls how they threw a bag over her and beat her legs until she fell, to the enthusiastic cries of the offenders.
At one time, doctors gave her a timid hope — at the age of eleven, she underwent an operation, which, however, did not produce results. After that, it became even more difficult to appear in public.

The girl fell into a deep depression and made several attempts to commit suicide. “I had severe depression. The doctors said that my psychological state can be compared with the post-traumatic syndrome in the military,” Tayla recalls.
However, gradually she grew up and learned to accept herself for who she is. I started going to the gym and learned to meditate. Having received inner peace, the girl decided to start her own blog on TikTok, and after that her life changed dramatically.

Among the subscribers there were people who helped her believe in herself, gain confidence. She now has 29,000 followers on Instagram and 27,000 fans on TikTok, and supporters are blown away by her inspiring story.
This year, Clement’s cherished dream came true — Zebedee modeling agency signed a contract with her. “Honestly, it was a dream come true to sign with an incredible agency like Zebedee and be part of such an incredibly inspiring and important movement.

I really want to make my mark in the modeling industry, I know I have a lot to give and I know I have this incredible gift and ability to inspire others.» the girl says.
“Another thing I learned during my journey of self-discovery is that I can smile. My smile is mine, and just because it doesn’t look like the smile of the majority of the population doesn’t mean that my smile isn’t a smile. I think little Tayla would be incredibly proud of me today, ”the model is sure.
