One lucky fan will soon be able to ride like Shakira!
In honor of her most recent hit, «Soltera» (Spanish for single), Shakira said on Wednesday, Nov. 20, that she would be giving away her personalized purple automobile, which has great meaning, to a fan.
The 47-year-old Colombian star is also expressing her gratitude for the tremendous amount of love and support she has received by participating in the event, which is in collaboration with Univision.
In reference to her breakup with ex-boyfriend Gerard Piqué, Shakira stated in a press release, «This car was a gift to myself as I began my single life, but I realized that what truly matters is human connection.»
«The car, the clothes, the material things — they don’t transform us,» the singer of «Hips Don’t Lie» continued. The people we care about and the relationships we form are what really matter.
Fans must post a dance to «Soltera» on Instagram and TikTok by November 29th, using the hashtag #ElCarroDeShakira, in order to be eligible to win. On December 5, the public will vote for the winner after Shakira chooses five finalists. The winner will be revealed on Despierta América on December 6.
